The world needs new ideas. Ideas that can get the necessary job done. We need to rework much of how the world works and we cannot leave these tasks to others - they belong to everyone. Therefore, Tällberg this year offered sessions for re-thinking and re-designing to help the new ideas emerge – from all participants.
Four
days are not a long time to change the world. But four days with more
than 400 dedicated and creative minds resulted in numerous good sound
ideas for action, and many new contacts made. By sharing their what
ifs, why nots, or yes ands, visions evolved and may well be ready to be taken forward.
During the Tällberg Forum, nine
groups worked in “Re-designing workshops” on specific challenges, for which they
developed prototypes – sketches of what new solutions could look like. These
workshops spent ten hours together – in small and large groups – with in-depth
discussions, prototype development and exploration of challenges and
possibilities related to these prototypes. Below is a list of the Redesigning
workshops, with links to the outcomes of each workshop.
Some of the
outcomes from workshops and conversations will be taken forward by individuals
or organizations. Tällberg Foundation will take the prototypes emerging from
two workshops forward, in the Plan C work as input
to the Copenhagen process, and as part of the planning and development of the YES
conference 2010.
We look forward
to hear from you about other ideas, connections or draft prototypes that have
emerged from Tällberg Forum 2008.
