350. org was established by author and environmentalist Bill McKibben to help bring the new scientific conclusions to the grassroots public worldwide.

Bo Ekman and Bill McKibben met earlier this year to discuss how efforts could be made to generate awareness at the public level at the same time creating pressure on leadership to respect the new scientific insights. Bill will address the Tällberg Forum on June 29, webcast live worldwide.

The June 23 "op-ad" represents the first step in a collaborative effort to bring a new common sense to the Copenhagen treaty process.
