John Liu is an award winning documentary film maker who has been collecting stories from around the world of people that has used their knowledge and creativity to improve life by restoring nature. John shared his experience of designing interventions and of documenting and monitoring the results of such transformations. Are these restoration projects of degraded ecosystems part of a larger movement that can help solve the global environmental challenges that we face?

on March 7th, at the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences.
There was also a dialogue about Liu’s ongoing project of documenting a large number of restoration efforts all over the world.
