Criteria for the award:

The Tällberg Foundation Leadership Award is given annually to an individual who has consistently applied humanistic, social and ecological values in his/her pursuit of results. The prize encourages and supports the leadership that combines the articulation of persistent values and positive results.

This is the essence of principled pragmatism.

In short, the award encourages leadership that “walks the talk.”


The award:

The award consists of a hand-painted diploma and a contribution of SEK 1 000 000 (as of 2012) to the recipient’s organization or charity of choice. The contribution of SEK 1 000 000 is made possible by the generous support of the Swedish Postcode Lottery.

The jury:

The award jury is comprised of the following members:

  • Christine Loh, chair of the award jury and Tällberg Foundation board member
  • Bo Ekman, chairman of the Tällberg Foundation
  • Jan Eliasson, member of the Tällberg Foundation board
  • Alexander Crawford, Project Director, Tällberg Foundation
  • Erling Norrby, representing the Swedish Postcode Lottery


Selection process:

Nominations may be submitted by board members of the Tällberg Foundation that are not members of the award jury and by the Foundation’s International Business Advisory Council.
